CPF Life: 'Wouldn't the monthly payout be eroded by inflation?'
MR CHRISTOPHER TENG: 'It is good that the CPF Life scheme has been simplified ('CPF Life plans to be simplified from 4 to 2'; yesterday).
Given that half of Singaporeans aged 65 today are expected to outlive the 20-year period of payouts under the Minimum Sum Scheme, even with the revised plans, wouldn't the monthly annuity payout be eroded by inflation?
