DESTRUCTION OF GENERAL ELECTION 2011
BALLOT PAPERS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS
In accordance with Section 49(9) of the Parliamentary Elections Act (Chapter 218), ballot papers and other documents used in the election shall be sealed and retained in safe custody for a period of 6 months, after which they shall be destroyed unless otherwise directed by order of the President. This is to ensure secrecy of the vote.
A repository for relevant news of the day- for the purpose of personal record, reference as well as critical commentary.

WP's goal: A First World Parliament

THE Workers' Party (WP) on Saturday unveiled its manifesto and campaign slogan at its party headquarters along Syed Alwi Road.
Titled Towards A First World Parliament, the manifesto contains 15 points on a diverse range of national issues like economic growth, the electoral process, public housing and the judiciary.
