Unfair criticisms of opposition
WITH Polling Day around the corner, The Straits Times Forum Page has been flooded with comments on both the People's Action Party (PAP) and the opposition parties. There are plenty of irrational criticisms of the opposition parties.

In addition, Foreign Minister George Yeo claims that the Workers' Party's (WP) 'A' team contesting in Aljunied has put residents there in an 'emotional dilemma'. This defensive remark is unfair to the WP team. If there is an emotional dilemma, it is not the WP's fault but that of the Group Representation Constituency system. Isn't the PAP's tactic of pairing a senior candidate with weaker ones causing the same problem for voters?
